(A
short review on a very mixed up movie/ missing body investigation...)
[--

As you might have read above, this movie
is, to put it nicely, very odd. It takes the perspective of a 20th century agnostic
mindset placed back onto history as we jump back in time to watch a Roman
prefect (Pilate) and a Roman tribune (Clavius) try to locate the body of Jesus,
in a style where finding the answer allows any sort of 'investigation' style. But,
before I get ahead of myself, let me start with a brief review of the
storyline.
Brief storyline:
Roman tribune (high-ranking Roman
officer) watches another set of 3 criminals die - crucified... Yet, oddly
though, when Jesus of Nazareth died, the sky is dark, an earthquake cracked a
lot of things and shook everyone up just a bit. Roman soldier Clavius notes
that this must have been the 'son of one of the gods'. Clavius
thinks everything is done, until Pilate tasks him with sealing the tomb to
satisfy the Jewish religious leaders. Seal stamped, and 2 guards stationed (not
the 16 in a Roman squadron), Flavius goes home for the night. Next morning,
something has changed... the guards are missing, the body is said to be stolen
and Pilate is not happy at all. Pilate calls Flavius and commands him to find
the body - whatever it takes.
The storyline here is that the Roman Emperor is coming and they must 'quell the
violence' and 'riots' before he comes (there's no Biblical basis for this lie).
But, with those orders, Roman tribune Flavius then proceeds to find people who
can tell him where the body is. He starts with investigating the tomb, then
Joseph of Arimathea, then the 2 soldiers who were guarding the tomb. Then when
he can't find the truth yet because the 2 soldiers are already saying the lie
that the Pharisees and Sadducees paid them to, Flavius starts finding those who
would rat out the disciples or anyone else who is proclaiming Jesus to be
alive.
They find a man who can be bribed, who
helps them capture one of the disciples, Bartholomew. They then quiz him,
threaten him... but with no answers and no body. So, then they look for others
to question. They track down Mary Magdalene (the only lady in this film who
hangs out with the 12 disciples). They try to get answers out of her... but
then release her to track down where the other disciples are. They lose track
of her, then cause chaos until they can find the house the disciples are hiding
in. Flavius barges into the tiny upstairs room (also different from the
Biblical account)... and is shocked to see Jesus among them - alive. Flavius
calls off the search and sends the troops home. Then goes and sits among the
disciples. Then Jesus disappears, and the disciples wander toward the mountains
where Jesus said He would join them. They are ambushed and almost killed by the
Romans, but they narrowly escape.
The 12 disciples then wait on the
mountain for Jesus, then get bored and decide to go fishing (all of them). They
catch nothing all night... but then a hooded individual on shore the next morning,
calls them to let down their nets for a catch... they catch a large catch and
can't get it in the boat. Peter jumps in the water and runs to shore, as do the
others. They all do a group-hug with this film's version of Jesus. The film
then scrambles the Biblical account with Jesus healing a leper, then rebuking
Peter for denying Him, then something else... and then they wander together
until evening. Flavius talks to Jesus who is awake, supposedly praying. Next
morning, Jesus is 'gone' from them. They look around and see Jesus far ahead,
smiling and jogging away from them while calling out short clips of the text
you see in the gospels right before Jesus' ascension. He then shoots into the
sky like Superman in a bright glow...
The disciples are sorry he's gone, but
know they need to go back and share the confusion they have about Jesus (yes,
sadly - it's that laughable). Peter invites Flavius to join them, but he won't.
So, Peter leaves him with some small talk and the greeting of 'The
Lord be with you, brother'. From there on, Flavius decides to wander
the desert, refusing to join the disciples, refusing to go back to being a
Roman soldier, but bewildered by the things he can't understand nor bring
himself to believe.
Short notes on the movie:
If I had to give a grade to this
movie, I would give it a 'C' for their confused Biblical historical facts, a
'D' for misrepresentation of clear Biblical facts, and an 'F' for the misquoting
Jesus and misrepresenting the Jesus we find in the Bible, specifically the four
gospel accounts (creating a false Jesus). Would I say this movie is blasphemous?...
yes... but just that answer doesn't fully explain. One key thing is clear - they
are creating another Jesus, something God places a curse on in Galatians 1:8-9.
The Jesus displayed here has no power - he's not God, he's a supernatural man.
Yes, it's that bad. But, there's more...
Other
lies:
There is no evidence that the Jewish
people were always warring with the Romans - that's historical and Biblical
fallacy. A few did fight Rome, but not all, or even most. The lying Scribes and
Pharisees were always causing trouble, but they weren't violent to the Romans -
as was depicted and hinted here. The Vatican is always trying to make Israel
look violent to force them to give up more land (now) for the 'peace' of the
one-world-government inspired by satan and marched forward by his human
co-conspirators, the NWO global banksters, including the Rothschilds, the
Rockefellers, the Bushs, the Clintons, the Brzezinskis, Henry Kissinger,
Madeline Albright, etc.
Lies of the Vatican were
rampant here:
> The odd inclusion of Mary
Magdalene as the only female in the group of 12... why?
> The lack of Biblical accuracy to
diminish the size of the original disciples of Jesus (where are the 70
disciples? where are Jesus' mother and brothers? Where are the 120 in the upper
room?) The inclusion of 'nuns' weeping and mourning at the crucifixion of
Jesus.
> Roman tribune Flavius stated that
he prayed "mass" (and to other pagan deities) to a tiny idol-statues,
and yet the Vatican's systems didn't exist until around 300AD
> digging up Jewish bodies trying
to find the missing body of Jesus
> promotion of the lying "shroud
of turin" in complete contradiction to the Biblical account - "6 Then
Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen
cloths lying there, 7 and
the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen
cloths, but folded together in a place by itself." (John 20:6-7) ~ As you can very well
see there, the "shroud of turin" is lies promoted by the Vatican to
confused the Biblical account, and to create a lie, and idol, and another
reason to look to the Vatican and visit it's 'relics' for a modest fee (of
course). They are peddling the Word of
God for profit - always have, always will, according to the Book of
Revelation.... that is, until Jesus destroys them as He said He would in the
Book of Revelation.
> The disciples are played up as
few and happy-go-lucky, all about love - no message, no power, no authority, no
preaching of repentance or holiness or anything else Biblically accurate.
> An older lady who is blind, when
interrogated by the soldier, states that she heard Jesus, that's how she know He's
alive. She continues "I hear voices... and Jesus said to His
disciples 'you are seeds, already cast.'" To which she adds to the
Roman tribune, Flavius, "You're too late."
> Biblical accounts/records do not
show that Mary Magdalene was a former prostitute. This combining 3 different
stories (3 different women) from the 4 gospels historical accounts to create a
lie and a fable that is not true.
> Inquisition style methods used to
'interrogate' - including threats of blackmail, and offers of bribery
> When Roman tribune Flavius breaks
into the tiny upper room with Jesus and his disciples, Bartholomew tells
Flavius "Our only weapon is love. This changes everything."
> Complete lack of Jewish burial
boxes... Jewish bodies are dug up, and Jewish bodies burned after crucifixion -
not accurate at all to Biblical accounts.
> Peter trying to remember and
quote Jesus says that this-Jesus said to "Stay in Jerusalem until you
receive some spirit".... yeah, some spirit. I guess the writers of
this lying work of fiction forgot that there were at least 1 or 2 scribes in
the company of disciples. The accounts of the Bible were not passed down by
word of mouth, but written down by eye-witnesses... *sigh*
> After being shown some kindness
by the disciples, Flavius decides to protect the 12, he even says that they are
"the last hope" for humanity...
> When this-Jesus figure calls to them
from the shore, he asks "Any luck?" - Besides that blasphemous
misrepresentation, most other things in the last 1/3 of this movie contradict
clear things explained in Scripture, including the 4 gospel accounts. Many
things yanked out of context, misquoted, and misrepresented.
> Jesus also wears some cloak that
makes him look more like Obi-wan Kenobi from the Buddhist lies of star-wars,
than an honorable Jewish rabbi.
> Peter when leaving the agnostic
Roman soldier says: "The Lord be with you, brother".
Their Jesus also called this Roman soldier "brother". The Jesus
who wrote the Bible would never do that - this is just more ecumenical
one-world religion lies.
> The 'nets' used by the fishermen
were not 'cast-nets', they were drop-nets. You can even see that just from
reading the plan text of an accurate translation, or even if you just look at
the Greek in passages such as Luke 5 and Matthew 13:47-48. Let's look at Luke 5
really quickly. It's plain as black and white.
"5 But
Simon answered and said to Him, 'Master, we have toiled all night and caught
nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.' 6 And
when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was
breaking. 7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they
came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. 8 When
Simon Peter saw it, he fell
down at Jesus' knees, saying, 'Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O
Lord!'... " (Luke 5:5-8)
In Conclusion
We need to not trust or follow those
who start getting lose about the clear teaching of the Word of God. That is
where many fall away from obedience to Christ - because they prefer lies to
God's holy and pure Truth and Teachings. God's Word warns against adding to
God's Holy Word or creating another Jesus.
"5 Every word of God is pure; He is a
shield to those who put their trust in Him. 6 Do not add to His
words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar." (Proverbs 30:5-6)
"6 I
marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace
of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but
there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But
even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what
we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said
before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than
what you have received, let him be accursed. 10 For do I now
persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I
would not be a bondservant of Christ." (Galatians 1:6-10)
This deceptive movie can be thrown in
the "blasphemous movies about the Bible" category. It's just another
lie. If you want to know Jesus, you only have to read His Word, especially the
Gospel Accounts: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. The KJV, NKJV and NASB are the
closest translations to the original texts, but you can find more clarity in
studying the original Hebrew and Greek. I personally choose NKJV to preach on
the streets because it's more modern English based solely on the "textus
receptus". But, I find that studying the Hebrew and Greek is
always much more reliable. My suggestion is that you quit relying on others to
teach you. Ask God to help you to study the Word of God deeper for yourself,
and check everyone else to the Word of God alone (not other books). A free easy
tool for studying the Hebrew and Greek is the 'Interlinear Scripture Analyzer', which shows you the literal
Hebrew and Greek words, and the literal English definitions and literal translation.
I have used it for 7 years. I have found it to be very honest and accurate. You
