Hello
brothers and sisters in Christ - and fellow prayer partners,
This
weekend, we got a chance to go to Rock the Universe at Universal Studios
Orlando - both Friday and Saturday. It was a pretty cool weekend, but there's a
lot of demonic entertainment at Universal - just like disney. So, that's our
topic today. I just wanted to type up a quick review of it so that others could
know what this park is like, from a Biblical perspective - as well as to give
my first report on the Harry Potter theme park section.
So,
I went with my brother and we checked out different sections of the park as
well as bands that he wanted to see that didn't mean much to me - and maybe
he'll be able to type and publish his report on it someday. This is just what I/we
saw.
So,
it's September. Universal Studios here in Orlando is known for its Hallow-evil
scream "festival" or whatever they call it. So, some of those
decorations were already being put up. So, that added a tad bit more of a
demonic theme to the park.
Let's
take a quick textual tour through the rides, sections of the park, then concerts,
and then Harry Potter.
Rides
- please know that these are movies and demonic entertainment that I warn
people to avoid on a regular basis. So, I'll just be giving the quick synopsis
so you can follow the storyline, along with things that concerned me and my bro
when we saw the rides.
- "Despicable Me"
This
is a weird fantasy world about little yellow creatures that look like twinkies
(sort of), whose leader (Dru) is trying to be the worst terrorist (or most
weaponized "good guy" depending on what movie is referenced) in the
world... in a weird "goofy" bathroom humor sort of way and "jokes"
about blowing up the world to conquer it, and other wild and bizarre experiments,
etc, etc. Not something for kiddos or adults, because God doesn't find this
humor funny at all - but demons don't consider anything sacred, so they
apparently find trash humor like this "funny" and use it to wear down
the consciences and boundaries of individuals. The "Despicable Me"
series has at least 3 videos in it - all with supposed "moral" lessons
among their garbage and blasphemy.
The
ride is a short 10 to 15 minute 3D/4D ride (meaning 3D screens with vibrating
seats for a "4D" effect). Its theme is supposedly turning you into
"minions" who are dumb and are pretty much non-brain slaves of
whoever wants to use them - something the NWO elites and Vatican would love to
have a lot of to serve their twisted desires. So, they supposedly
"shrink" you or "minionize" you and then try to train you,
but the "training" goes wrong, you "fall" (in 3D) from
various heights, almost get blown up, etc, etc and they (meaning Dru and his adopted 3 girls)
barely protect you. And then just as everything has settled down you "accidently"
get "changed back to humans" again.
-Hollywood Rip Ride RockIt
This
is the only actual roller coaster Universal has in the Orlando Resort theme
park. They have more roller coasters on the themes of demonic
"heroes" from Marvel comics, as well as Jurassic Park, and the more
demonic witchcraft side of the Harry Potter world - at the "Islands of
Adventure" theme part, which is a 15 minute walk away, through the bar
district in Universal called "CityWalk", and then to the other
entrance labeled "Islands of Adventure".
So,
the RockIt ride has about 30 non-Christian "popular" songs to choose
from - but you only get a few seconds to choose and if you miss that cutoff
(like I did), you just get a light pop song with no words to it. The coaster
starts with a fast but short drop and winds around and rolls you as you go
through loops and turns - while listening to your "favorite"
non-Christian song... which I don't have one and neither should any honest
follower of Christ. So yeah... not much here to like.
- Shred 3D
"Shrek"
is a green "ogre" in a series of films (an ogre is basically a form
of "troll"). Probably to try to make demonic fantasies of monsters
look benign like "Casper" did for demons pretending to be ghosts, and
"ET" did for demons pretending to be aliens from outer space. Of
course "Monsters Inc" also tries to make monsters look
"cool" too... But, you get the idea. So, the interesting thing about
Shrek though, is that he brings in a lot fairy tales in a strange twisted tale
- probably trying to get people to go back and memorize or familiarize
themselves with the demonic fairy tales of "Mother Goose" or
"Grimm Brothers" or "Aesops Fables" or "The Book of
Virtue", etc. And yes, I have investigated a lot of those - they are not
nice stories with a "moral" message. At best they are teaching
"moral" lessons without God and/or contradictory to God's Word - some
of them are actually stories made up to coverup crimes of the British and
European royalty, as well as the Vatican crimes, etc.
So,
anyway - back to this ride. You walk into the room right before the supposed
"torture chamber" - which is oddly presented with laughs and jokes.
Strange and disturbing. Above you are all kinds of seemingly actual torture
devices used throughout history (or similar types) many of which were used by
the Vatican and Jesuits to force people to convert from Christianity or Torah
Judaism or demonic islam (which is also a Vatican-created religion) to
Vatican-ism, where they play God and you must obey them or else. The Vatican
and Jesuits (Rome) have always been the spy and torture experts throughout
history. So, anyway, you see all of these torture things, like a spiked bed,
spiked collar, things to pull your teeth out or various other parts of your
body (like fingers, etc)... etc, etc. The lady announcer also references such
things as "flogging" in her presentation as though it's some sort of
"fun" torture. But all of this presented with goofy
"humor". *shudder*. So, then we find out that the ghost of the mean
king is the one who wants to torture us, but Shrek is going to protect us. So,
we travel into a theater room where we watch their short show which includes
being chased by a demon-possessed stone statue of a dragon and rescued by a
"nice" real dragon - friend of Shrek. In the end Shrek destroys the
ghost, rescues his ogre "wife" (and us), and everyone lives
"happily ever after". It's disturbing and demonic.
- Transformers 3D
This
is about the supposed living mythic race of giant robots who most often hide
among humans as some sort of automobile (usually fast cars and/or fast trucks) until
it's time to "save the planet" from the other group of invading
transformers from outer space. This preaches the "need" to
"evolve" beyond human to being more like robots with demonic wisdom
and sci-fi and CGI "powers". It also pretends that earth was created
by aliens, instead of God. No, satan and his demons can't create anything, but
you can't make satan or his demons be honest - not even in Hell and the Lake of
Fire. They are liars from the time they worked together to try to murder God
and take His Throne just as Jesus said (John 8:44; see also Isaiah 14 and
Ezekiel 28), and satan and his demons/fallen-angels (and al l humans who join
their hardened rebellion) always will be liars trying to raise an army to fight
God - the end of the Book of Revelation shows that in specific detail.
This
ride is pretty simple - 3D/4D seated carts wandering from room to room and
seeing 10 to 15 minutes of a short story that ties in pieces from the several
Transformers movies. The "bad" robots try to destroy us and steal
something from us, but the "good" robots protect us and ultimately
win and "save the planet" and thank us for "helping"
them... by being in the ride... right.
- Fast and Furious
This
ride is based on the series of 8 or 9 movies in the "Fast and
Furious" series. In case you don't know anything about this series, it
boils down to hyper-charged and loud cars, street racing, men and ladies
showing off their bodies including some/much immodest clothing and hints of sexual
immorality, dodging the FBI/CIA (implying loud drunken, drugs and sex parties
or something akin), and fighting some small club with equally hyper-charged
cars, trucks and helicopters who want to destroy the world or... at least some
large part of the population.
This
ride has you wander through their "garage" and then takes you into
the "family room" where they pretend that they family because they
help and protect one another (and overlook each other's sins). And, because we
just walked into their "family room", we are now somehow
"family" too... right. They don't know or care about us - but they do
like the money from those who buy tickets to their movies and buy the DVDs...
anyway. So, we are all supposedly going to be getting on busses to go join a
"party". But this is an adventure ride so you quickly realize that
something is "not going to go according to plan". As we are almost
ready to aboard the buses, the Fast and Furious team gets an alert that the FBI
want to stop the party and that a convict has escaped prison (who also has
revved up vehicles) and he wants to destroy us because we are their friends...
or something like that. So, we hop on the busses and their start to glow and
put out a beat like you'd hear in any sleazy downtown bar district to try to
get us in the "party" mood. Then we drive to where the "party"
is supposed to. And on the screen to the right, we see that there are people
dancing to music - with many ladies wearing almost no clothing (needless to say
I looked away for most of this scene). Then the FBI comes and shuts down the
party and chases everyone out of the room. Then some of the Fast and Furious
team arrive (late) for the party... only to find out that the FBI canceled it
and chased everyone out. The FBI agent threatens them until another of the Fast
and Furious team arrives with a bigger gun and the FBI guy leaves. Then we
drive to the next screen where the escaped convict threatens to blow up our bus...
for some reason that doesn't make sense. But, out of nowhere one of the Fast
and Furious team shows up and knocks him off of his tank-like truck. Then we
are told to get on the highway and drive and that the Fast and Furious team
will protect us. So, we drive - with now two 3D/4D screens left and right of
our bus and the Fast and Furious team have to destroy this guy and his trucks,
cars, and helicopters to protect us. And then we go up a ramp (on the screen
but not actual) and we "safely" land back in the area of the party.
It
was sad to me to see how many people are ready/willing to party like this while
calling themselves followers of Christ. It would seem that many of them have
never read Jesus' words... very sad. And the Fast and Furious fantasies pretend
that some pride is "good", some immorality/immodesty is
"okay" (as long as you get away with it, right?), and that as long as
we are "there for each other", we're some sort of
"family"... nope. There's only two families on planet earth - family
of satan and family of God. Many claim to be in Jesus' family, but don't want
to study His Word and don't care about people more than what they can get from
them... that's not family. We need to see the honest followers of Christ grow
in discernment, fleeing sin, and growing in encouraging everyone around them to
turn from sin and turn to Jesus. The more honest followers of Christ do that,
the more some of us will find family. Until then... most of the honest
followers of Christ will feel alone, because those who genuinely follow Christ
(and are saved, sealed by the Holy Spirit) are strangers in this world, and
despised by those who enjoy their floods of sin-desires and chasing sin-fun.
Two different families and some who pretend they are followers of Christ are
self-deceived.
- Race Through New York (starring Jimmy Fallon)
Another
weird ride. I think the most interesting part to me was to see a little bit of
the "behind the scenes" stuff they had before the ride. It felt like
you were a NBC "news" representative and you got to see something of
what showbiz is like behind the scenes - or at least what they want us to see.
And for those who don't know, Jimmy Fallon is a trashy comedian who has been
involved in lots of entertainment stuff (apparently). I don't personally know
much about him, but the variety of clips they showed throughout the pre-show
told me he's been in sinful and twisted "comedy" for many years. And it
seemed to me that their favorite jokes were to make jokes about sins (as though
sin is okay), and mock the Bible and honest followers of Christ - though mostly
in very subtle ways. To me, it doesn't matter too much, because that's what you
expect from one of satan's front stage-people who is popular on the
Vatican/Rockefeller TV (trash vendor). The world hates followers of Jesus
because they love their sin. We can't get the leaders to repent (usually), but
we can plead with everyone around us to turn from sin and turn to Jesus.
So,
back to this ride. It's a theater room, where you are supposedly the "live
audience". The screen is 3D/4D and the "ride" is a virtual
"race" with Jimmy in his virtual flying car. So, we fly out of the
NBC building and onto the "streets" of Manhattan. Then we race
through Times Square - in which Jimmy crashes into several NY Taxis. Then he
turns on his flying car (and so do we). Then he throws pizza at us and then t-shirts
(virtually). Then we fly next to the statue of liberty (a transgender mythology
statue from France) - and Jimmy hits the torch on the statue of liberty. Then
we fly to the Empire State Building, where a giant panda (inside joke of the
Jimmy Fallon show) grabs us and throws us to the moon. Then we see Jimmy's band
on the moon, and then we see the first moon roller coaster which is supposedly
to eventually connect from the moon to the earth. We are then put on this
unfinished roller coaster that launches back to the earth (no space gear or
anything in any of this). Then we go through a virtual tube back to the stage,
barely "winning" the "race".
- The Revenge of the Mummy
I
already knew that I didn't want to go on this ride, because of its Egyptian
curses and horror styled theme. So, I watched it on youtube. You can find a
video that shows the ride there. The demons who haunt this supposed tomb claim
your soul... that can be very confusing to those who don't know their Bibles
and how to push off demonic lies and attempts to claim a soul for satan and
Hell/Lake of Fire.
- Men in Black (Alien Attack)
This
ride is based on the trilogy of Men in Black movies. Its theme is you are
fighting the alien invasion of earth. The Men in Black series pretends that
there are aliens among us pretending to be humans, until there's enough of them
to try to take over the earth... The lie here is that just like
"ghosts" are demons, so are the myths about "aliens". There
are no physical invaders from outer space. The only invaders from outer space
are satan and his fallen angels. Do be aware though that all superhero films
are trying to get you to fall for a false "christ" (or antichrist) and
most are based on Babylonian or Egyptian or Greek or Roman mythological
"gods" or "goddesses" (which are demons, or demon
imaginations) and used by satan to prep you into fighting Jesus when he returns
to take back the earth from the devil for good, and to set up His wonderful
righteous Kingdom that will last for eternity. The devil (satan) is known for
taking things that don't belong to him (including usurping authority that is
not his), as well as counterfeiting everything else he can't get away with
outright stealing.
- The Simpson Ride
This
was its own version of trashy bathroom humor and even some subtle s*x gags. Just
trash. Not to mention that the Simpson are known for their blasphemy and humor
attacking everything sacred and trying to get people to mock what is right and
love what is evil. For the writers of trash "entertainment" such the
Simpsons, nothing is sacred to them. Nothing is pure. Everything must be
perverted and twisted against what is holy and pure, because that's how demonic
and twisted their hardened hearts are, and they hope to teach more people to
think like them. That's this ride. Thankfully it was not blatantly s*xual, but
some suggestions were more than obvious to anyone older than a child. This is
what Universal did with their former "Back to the Future" ride -
replaced it with a worse form of trash than the fake "science" of time-travel.
- ET Adventure
Yep,
that ET is still around, at Universal Orlando. It's in the kiddie section, next
to Fievel's and Woody the Woodpecker's playgrounds. Many people may not realize
it but ET (the movie, which ET = Extra-Terrestrial, meaning outside of planet
earth, meaning "alien") was very popular decades ago, and helps more
people think that aliens might exist, because of its warm-hearted story. The
fact is though that "aliens" don't exist. As I said before, the only
aliens that have invaded planet earth are the demons who joined satan in
fighting God and trying to turn all humans against God and toward sin that
destroys them.
This
ride is really simple. You get in a bike, ride through a tiny bit of the movie,
escape the forest in a 4-bike cart ride, and then "fly" to the moon
and beyond to millions or "light years" away to "save" ET's
family with his "healing" touch to heal his planet and keep it from
"dying". It's slow-moving lies and myths in a pleasant ride
environment.
- Town Themes
The
whole park of Universal Orlando is divided up into sections, like towns and
each have a theme. New York's theme is NBC studios and the race with Jimmy and
the Revenge of the Mummy ride, with old buildings facades from New York. Right
next door, The Hollywood zone has the rest of the NBC studio buildings
including the media center, as well as some various shows, including
Nickelodeon studios and several Universal media shows/movies like Spongebob the
trashy sponge, the Secret Life of Pets, and Despicable Me shows, as well as
food vendors such as "Mel's Diner" which is apparently reminiscent of
the 1950s era hamburger and milkshake places. The San Francisco area has the San
Francisco's theme has the Fast and Furious race as well as burgers, seafood,
pastries and some city and ocean coast facades. The Production Central area has
the Despicable Me ride, the Shrek ride, the Rockit ride, and the Transformer
ride, as well as themed buildings for each of those movie sets. The World Expo
center area looks like one large convention center with an alien theme, and the
Men In Black ride inside. The Springfield area has the trash humor (some light,
some obvious) of the Simpsons in their kiddie rides, food vendors, and apparel
stores. The kid zone has several themes - Barney, Woody Woodpecker, Fievel, and
Curious George, as well as the ET ride and a few kiddie coasters.
- The (wicked) Wizarding World of Harry Potter
This
whole section of the park is creepy and it's just the "Muggle/No-Maj"
side of the Harry Potter world. Meaning, this is to entice people (especially
children) who want to dabble with satanism/demonism and witchcraft to get a 2-park
pass to see the more witchcraft side of the Harry Potter world in the
"Islands of Adventure" park, just minutes away through another park
entrance. I saved all of the Harry Potter stuff for this section, including its
theme, shops, and roller coaster. So, let's take a quick tour of this section.
For
those who don't know what "muggle" or "No-Maj" mean, let's
start there. In the world of sorceress JK Rowling, there are 2 groups of people
- the dumb almost-non-thinking non-magicians or "muggles" (in UK
lingo) and "No-Maj" (in US lingo) - both mean non-magical or
non-sorcery humans. Ms. Rowling pretends that sorcery is a "gift"
only given to some and those who are not satan's sorcerers, wizards or witches
supposedly cannot understand the wizarding world. But, God's Word explains it
quite well. If you get yourself entangled with satan and commit your soul to
him or one of his demons, they will "lend" you power to control things,
but it's very limited because the Creator opposes most things satanists try to
do, which doesn't usually stop them, but God does protect those who seek Him
and those read His Word and pray. So... if you don't want to be a wizard or
sorcerer (guy who does "magic")
or a witch (lady who does "magic") then you are insulted by being a
"muggle" or "no-maj". I'm not a muggle or no-maj, I'm
actually someone who knows Jesus and has the Holy Spirit inside of me and I'm
fighting in prayer and spiritual warfare to free people from satan's deceptions
so they can flee to Jesus and get free from their bondage and slavery to sin,
"entertainment" and "sin-fun". So, if you are a follower of
Christ who cares about those around you - you're not supposed to be a
"muggle" or a "no-maj", you are supposed to be working to
rescue people from satanism, as ambassadors of Christ. God through Paul says it
this way in 2nd Corinthians.
"17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is
a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become
new. 18 Now all things are
of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us
the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in
Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them,
and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now
then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we
implore you on Christ's behalf,
be reconciled to God." (2nd Corinthians 5:17-20)
It
is our duty to try to rescue all we can from satan's deceptions and sins. We
cannot save even one soul (not even ourselves), but we can make sure that we
have a true and honest covenant with Christ and to make sure we are trying
daily to turn others from satan's traps and temptations to sin, and turn them
to Christ and the Bible - compelling them to read and listen to it as much as
they, as we are leading by example in doing the same.
So,
now to this park. It's bizarre. I found out through the Times Magazine articles
and interviews that Ms. JK Rowling approved every detail of the design on both
of these Harry Potter parks. In that Times Magazine issue, Ms. Rowling also
says that she is very much like her lady-"hero" in her 8-part Harry
Potter series, a girl named "Hermoine", but said like
"her-min-ey". Hermoine is the top of her class in witchcraft and
sorcery with a supposed "tender" touch and good bit of caring. Hermoine
is also friends of Harry Potter - a boy-wizard whose parents were murdered by
an evil underlord, and Ron Weasley whose Dad works at Hogwarts and all of the
Weasley family are wizards or witches, from the Dad and Mom to the brothers and
sisters, including Ginny whom Harry eventually marries. There's much to talk
about concerning Harry Potter and I hope to write some reports on this demonic
fiction from Ms. Rowling someday. For now, I'll try to leave it simple for you
so that everyone can follow along, even those who don't know what the books are
about. Simply put, Ms. Rowling is an actual witch/sorceress by her own
admission, and top of her class at spells and demonic deceptions, which means
she has at least one demon - yes, demon-possessed, just very clever at it. She
is spiritually dangerous to all who think her books are harmless
"fun" because their discernment guard is down.
Before
we dive in deeper, I want to note that God allowed me to talk with several
families in the Harry Potter area warning them about opening the door to
demons, because it's extremely hard to close. I praise God for those
conversations and am asking that God would arrange more divine appointments for
me and other knowledgeable and caring followers of Christ to reason with people
who think Harry Potter is entertainment, "fun", or that witchcraft
(calling on demons) is a "good" idea to turn from demons and sins and
find repentance and eternal life in Jesus Christ.
So,
where to start. I think I'll start on the quick tour of her little muggle
village called "Diagon Alley", in which "muggles"
(non-wizards/witches) can mingle with witches and wizards/sorcerers as they get
"school supplies" (and probably an owl) for their children who are
enrolled at Hogwarts (British) wizarding school. So, from the outside, the area
looks very much like a front for a hotel called the "Wyndham" and
next to it is a benign looking train station, called the "Kings Cross
Station". Interesting choice of words indeed "Kings"
"Cross"... hmm... nothing like mocking the Bible, when you mix all of
the major fantasies and Greek, Roman, Egyptian, and Babylonian mythologies,
right? So, needless to say, you get very little clue where the Hogwarts are even
is. Your only clue is the 2 story purple bus next to fountain called the
"Knight Bus" (long story). But, opposite side of the street from the
Knight Bus and fountain is a brick entrance with people coming and going. That
is your entrance. You walk at a brick wall and then go around it and then you
enter the Harry Potter area and feel quite immersed in its world. The other
entrance looks like an ornately done wood-paneling wall - same thing, you go
left or right of it and you're in the same area - this whole little plaza is
quite large. As they like to say in wizarding series like this "it's bigger
on the inside than it looks on the outside".
So,
once you're in, depending on where you are, you are either at the town square
section or the "magic" wand/quidditch section. (I'm working off a map
that doesn't quite match the Universal Orlando layout, but it'll be close
enough to explain. Some of this stuff I learned myself by seeing it for myself,
as well as watching many movie clips to figure it out, and other pieces were
explained by kind workers in the Harry Potter section. Some clearly love
witchcraft - but some are just doing a job of acting their part and it seems to
mean very little to them. Quite a few of them were pleasant and helpful.) -- So,
I'll start you at the Quidditch section and walk you around that way - it's easier
to follow. And by the way, "Quidditch" is a game similar to a
combination of British Cricket, a form of hoops soccer, and the levitating of
witchcraft. I did say Ms. Rowling's world was weird, didn't I? It is. Okay, so
you walk in and you see a book shop store-front with books and some that will
bite your hand... literally. On the other side of the street is the "Leaky
Cauldron" - a place for getting food and drinks (pretty sure all of it is
non-alcoholic). Then there's the "Magical Menagerie" which if I
remember correctly is either just a storefront, or might sell Harry Potter
world clothing. Next is another storefront, then is the "Quality Quidditch
Supplies" store, with the team shirts and game-gear for buying, with a
windup "magical" broom on display, and other stuff like that
including Harry Potter quill and ink sets. Next door is the "Wiseacres"
which I think was either just a storefront, or also the outside of an ice cream
and candy shop. There are more details, but I can't quite remember them - but
you get the idea - long row of shops on both sides, some with merchandise,
others with just creative Harry Potter world paintings as storefronts. So, if
you walk down either corridor/street, you come to the "Gringott's
Bank" which is supposedly run by dwarves who are very shrewd and very
stingy/greedy. Under the Gringott's Bank is where the only roller coaster of
Diagon Alley is located - it's the train-car ride that's 3D/4D as you try to
dodge Voldemorte and his friends, and Harry and his friends work to protect you
with the help of a dragon and wands. Next to the Gringott's Bank is a statue of
one of the dwarves - maybe Gringott.. on a pile of gold coins neatly stacked 5
to 10 feet into the air with him on top (apparently a monument to himself). To
the left of the Bank is a little street with other little shops, and some
animatronics (some of which are wand-interactive). Also connected to the
dwarf-run bank is the money exchange shop, where you can actually exchange
American ("muggle") money for Harry Potter currency which can be used
at some shops in Universal Orlando and Islands of Adventures. It's an even
exchange - $10 US dollars will get you $10 in Harry Potter cash, etc. I didn't
get to see this myself, but someone explained how it worked. So, continuing
walking - if you round the corner and walk away from the Gringott's Bank down
the other corridor/street, you see on the store called "Ollivanders"
- it's where you can buy any number of wands from the Harry Potter world. Every
character has a wand, and they all come in their own little box. There seem to
have been only a few dozen designs - probably equal to how many characters were
being displayed. Each character's wand section had two sets of boxes - ones
with white labels, and ones with gold labels. The white labels are basically
just sticks for decoration. The gold labels have a battery and can interact in
the store and with shops in any Harry Potter world park around the globe. Then
there are wands that are only interactive - more so apparently, but how I
didn't comprehend. And then there are specialty wands that you can apparently
order custom for yourself - again, something I didn't comprehend. I did get to
help a family seriously think about if they wanted one of these cursed-sticks
in their house, even though their little boy really wanted it - they heard me
and thought about it. Praying they said no, but I don't know the conclusion,
but they appreciated the conversation. So, next to Ollivanders, is the store of
"gags" and jokes and pranks - called the "Weasley's Wizard
Wheezes". The Weasley family are some of Harry's best friends in the books
and films and the whole family are wizards/sorcerers/warlocks and
sorceresses/witches. Next there is Madam Malkin's shop of tailored work - If I
remember correctly, that was where there were some "magic" magician
cloaks in there as well as suit ties and socks and patches etc. Then is another
candy/ice-cream shop called "Florean Fortescue's". Then there's the
"Daily Prophet" which is essentially the "newspaper" of the
"magical" world of Hogwarts (The Harry Potter "school" of
magical arts). Which I should note has 4 families/teams that all students join
(seemingly for life) - Slytherin (evil/dark arts), Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and
Gryffindor. There is also a sweet-drink spot called the "Hopping Pot"
where the lines were long and there were picnic tables, with lots of store
fronts around, including a multi-leveled owl perch, a wall with bronze statue
of the elf called Dobby, and other things like that. There is also a dark alley
called "KnockTurn Alley" where it's almost dark (even in daylight)
and has some blacklight lamps (UV light) and showcases strange made-up
skeletons and moving art and newspaper clippings, etc. It seems to also be an
area where the interactive wands can work and appear to be doing something.
So,
that's a pretty quick glimpse of it. If I had not been a youth leader for over
16 years and had not seen many youths get caught up in the lies and witchcraft
of JK Rowling (a witch), then I probably wouldn't care about dark evil things
and places like this. But having seen firsthand the power of "Myth"
and witchcraft to harden hearts in sin and rebellion against God (even some to
the point of demon possession), I study these things as time and my life allow
and work to shine the bright holy Light of God's Word on it, exposing it as
evil, empty, and simply what witchcraft is - calling on demons to do things for
you, or to borrow their "power" at a very high cost - sometimes your
soul. One key thing to remind anyone who is trying to get out of witchcraft -
satan never keeps his promises, so you are not bound to either. Run from any
promises to the devil, and run from sin, and pledge your life to Jesus - asking
Him to teach You how to be free from the slavery and bondage of sin that leads
to everlasting punishment in Hell, then the Lake of Fire forever - Flee to His
mercy so that He might grant you life everlasting, a growth in holyness through
trials here on earth, a life of studying His Word and sharing it with those
around you (being His ambassador) to then be rewarded and spend forever with Him
in the exciting things He does through all eternity. There is only 1 choice
worth your soul, even though the whole world mock - who cares. Follow Christ
and follow Him and Him alone fully. Amen? And take as many with you as you can,
amen? :)
Coming
soon - a short report on the artists there at Rock the Universe 2018.
I need to make one concluding note:
There
is no such thing as "entertainment" when it comes to tv shows, movies,
music or books. Video games is somewhat a different category, and most would
also not be "entertainment", it's varying levels of the same problem.
But, just sticking with the topic of tv shows, movies, books, and music - there
is no such thing as entertainment there. Everything there is either pulling you
closer to sin (or at very least excusing sin), and further from God, with very
few exceptions. Let me broaden it from there - everything around us is
preaching to us. Everything. Think about it for a second. Everything around you
is pushing you toward sin and away from God's Word, or pulling you away from
sin and toward God's Word. Everything. How can I say this? Simple - there are
only 2 forces here an planet earth - God and His holy angels, and satan (a
fallen angel) and his demons (lower levels of fallen angels). If you see
something with "energy" or "magic" to it, whether it be a
dynamic speaker or a leader of a movement or even a Christian leader - they are
empowered by either God or satan, and the direction of their teaching will show
you which one. Nothing is gray. The devil (satan) pretends there are gray areas,
but nothing is gray to God or satan - and we need to get more clear-sighted on
telling the difference on things that we think are "gray areas". God
is Holy, Holy, Holy. Everything is either light or darkness, truth or lie,
honesty or deception, good or evil. Nothing in between. Some of our actions are
mixed good and evil, and we need to let God's Word teach us to choose to do
what is right more fully and to turn (even run) from things that are evil, or
have the appearance of evil. And, if God tasks us to call out an evil - be it a
teacher or a movie or a book or game, etc, be very careful not to let yourself
get drawn into the deception of "fun" when God has clearly showed you
it's evil. If He has you call something out, study out what little you need to
so you can warn others to run from it, but remember to guard your heart from
the temptations of satan to think it's somewhat "fun" or
"entertainment". Remember, satan is the murderer from the beginning
who tried to murder God and take His Throne and he is the master and inventor
of lies - all types and qualities of them, and he is the roaring lion who wants
to destroy your soul. The devil is not playing games and neither is God - so we
need to stop playing games with evil too, and teach others to not play with
evil also. Amen?
Thanks
for reading this and praying for others to learn to run from sin and flee
sexual immorality and interest in demonic things including witchcraft. Those
who live holy and pray are what keeps our nation from crashing into the rampant
sins that the devil and his human team (including clergy) pretend is already
happening. When you see evil, pray God tears it down and either teaches those
people to stop doing evil, or that God somehow stops them from hurting others.
