Literal #6Day #Creation = foundation of #everything. The slight "variations" from God's accounting of the literal 6-day Creation are lies!

Okay, so let's just start at the basics here in Genesis 1.

Shall we do a brief Hebrew review? In this case, it's very important. Curious, have you heard of the Hebrew word 'yom'? Some have. Some have not. Either way, it is an important word - it's a prominent Hebrew word for 'day' (one of two I think). The word 'yom' only refers to a literal 24 hour day.

Now, that's a start, but, check out this next part.

Let's look at Day 1

"God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day." (Genesis 1:5) Notice there are 3 literal Hebrew words there that show that the first day was a literal day - 1)light/darkness, 2)evening/morning - the Hebrew delineation of a day - evening first, then morning, and 3)first day - also literal for one day. ~ that is day one and that's how the Hebrew ends that verse "yom-day one"

Now for day 2 - "And God called the firmament Heaven. So the evening and the morning were the second day." (Genesis 1:8) Again, same thing ~ evening/morning, yom/day two

Now for day 3 - "So the evening and the morning were the third day." (Genesis 1:13) again, evening and morning yom/day three

Now for day 4 - "So the evening and the morning were the fourth day." (Genesis 1:19) Again, same thing - evening morning, yom/day four

Now for day 5 - "So the evening and the morning were the fifth day." (Genesis 1:23) Again, evening/morning, yom/day five

Now for day 6 - "Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day." (Genesis 1:31) Again, evening/morning, yom/day six

Notice also that everything God had created was "good" no death or anything bad at all in that word, the Hebrew word means 'good' in the widest sense of the word. So, everything was perfect, no gap theory fits in this literal text.

Now, one more note and then I'd like your feedback - if the word 'yom' only means a 24/hour literal day in the rest of the Old Testament, then why not here as well?

One example:
"For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day." (Exodus 20:11) one of many examples - the plural word for yom is there - again literal 24/hour day.

If God's Word can be trusted, it has to be taken literally - only. And, I know God's Word can be trusted literally - archeology, genuine science, and historical accounts prove that - not that He needs that, but they do prove that God's Word can be and must be trusted literally. And, since we can trust it literally, that also means we had better keep growing in understanding and obeying it literally, so we aren't ashamed when we see Him face to Face.

So, back to the beginning and Creation. Genesis isn’t the only place where God describes how He created everything in six literal days. In the giving the 10 Commandments, God gave it - we'll look at that in just a minute.

Okay, so back to Genesis 1. In Genesis 1, for each of the 6 days of creation and the seventh day of rest, we see the Hebrew word ‘yom’ – which means a literal day. Along with that word, we see a number – 1st yom, 2nd yom, etc. In Hebrew, this emphasizes that these are literal days. And then, to make it even more clear, God adds – “evening and morning was the ___ day”. The phrase “evening and morning” also clearly emphasizes that these are literal days – not eons. God makes it clear, here in Genesis, that He made everything – out of nothing – in six literal days and He makes that clear by stating it 3 ways for each of the 6 days of creation. Evolution cannot fit in a literal interpretation of Genesis. But, neither can evolution (in any form) fit in the rest of the Bible. Here are a few clear verses that shows this:

“For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” (Exodus 20:11)

“'It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.'” (Exodus 31:17) – The Hebrew word ‘yom’ is also used here in these verses in Exodus – meaning a literal day.

“By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.” (Hebrews 11:3) ~ This verse highlights that we take our Creator’s Word by faith – having not seen it, but seeing the evidence and believing His trustworthy word.

What evidence do we have to believe that we should (even must) take God’s Word literally? Here are some key verses:

“And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” (2nd Peter 1:19-21)

“For assuredly, I say to you, till Heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.” (Matthew 5:18)

“Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:6)

~ I pray this strengthens your faith in God’s Word.

These verses show that both they lying religion of evolution, and the "gap theory" are both the same problem - they mock God's literal Word. And it's just one key reason why I seek to make and train the common person (man, woman, child) a trained scholar in God's Word - one-step-at-a-time, one life at a time. Because we need every honest Christian to be a better scholar than the pagan clergy who pretend to be "Christian leaders".

Now what are your thoughts? Verses that show differently?

Watching, Preaching, Praying,

your growing bro, SH
