"And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues." (1st Corinthians 12:28)

"And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ..." (Ephesians 4:11-12)

~ Many pastors and so-called pastors today do not like the fact that God established prophets and evangelists with a higher calling than them and therefore the ability to have authority over them. Today, when prophets or evangelists see a pastor(s) contradicting God's Word or avoiding foundational and uncomfortable verses and passages, they ought to be direct, yet speak up with gentleness, remind those pastors what God's Word says, so that it might be shown if those pastors are honorable servants of Christ, or that it would be known that these apostates are dishonorable fakes who peddle the word of God for a paycheck and profit.
